Children and Young People

Let me introduce our new Children’s Church at St Mary’s Langley. We meet every Sunday in the Church at 11am and then go into the Sunrise Nursery next door for fun, games and conversation as we explore more of God together with our dedicated team of Children’s work team!

Your children’s safety is our first priority. We want them to feel welcome and to know that they are just as important to God as the adults! Through our services we endeavour to ensure children of all ages are actively involved and engaged with the church either through the relaxed and engaging format of the services or through providing activities for them.

In St Nicholas Church and St Mary’s Church we are working hard to make the regular services more engaging for people of all ages. Children and young people are always encouraged to be part of the services, but there are activity packs available and a space for toddlers to play which can be used throughout the service.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Please be assured that the development of Children’s and Youth ministry is a huge priority for Rev Mark. His background includes years of youth ministry and he is a qualified youth worker. He also has conducted a research project into the spiritual development of preschool children and takes seriously Jesus’ words…

“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

Above all, you and your children are very welcome to St Nicholas and St Mary’s

Over lockdown, Rev Mark has started an online Youth Group over zoom and this offers a good mix of fun and games, and exploring more of the Christian faith.

In addition to this, Captain Graham and Rev Mark can be often be seen in the local schools through assemblies, lessons and even the odd school trip!
